A national bestseller, The War We Won Apart tells the story of two elite agents, Sonia d’Artois (née Butt) and Guy d’Artois, who became one of the most decorated couples in WWII. Sonia and Guy are the parents of Nadya Murdoch, wife of alum and former Chair of the Board, Bob Murdoch ’61 (Lake’s), and mother of Patrick Murdoch ’96 (Lake’s) and Eric Murdoch ’00 (Lake’s). Sonia was a British secret agent during the Second World War and a member of Winston Churchill’s secret army, Special Operations Executive.
