Duxbury House

House Colours: royal blue and gold
House Emblem: wolf and crown
House Motto: Cave Lupum – “Beware of the Wolfpack”
House Hymn: I Vow to Thee My Country
Duxbury House was established in September 1999 to accommodate a growing number of male students. The Lonsdale's House Director at the time moved into Duxbury as the first House Director of the new House, taking with him 28 boys from Lonsdale’s. With an experienced House Director and a core of boys who had already been housemates, Duxbury House had a stable start.

The House is named in honour of Frank Duxbury, a gifted and popular Shawnigan history and French teacher from the mid-1940s to mid-1950s and again in 1958-61. For many years, he was the Senior Master of the School.

Constructed around a grassy courtyard, the Duxbury House layout is unique. It is located up the hill from the Chapel beyond Kaye's House.
