Samuel House – named to honour Rhodri and Gaynor Samuel, long-serving staff members – was established in February 2024. Its unique model combines the two Grade 8 Houses (Stanton House for girls and Levein House for boys) under one roof. Stanton House was first established in September 2019, and Levein House in September 2020. The bespoke Grade 8 Houses had proved very successful, providing the youngest students with a nurturing environment to adjust to boarding life and to grow confidence.

Samuel House is divided into two wings: the boys live in one wing and the girls in the other, sharing several common spaces in the middle. At the end of the year, the Grade 8 students participate in the much-anticipated Sorting Hat ceremony, initiating their transition to one of the "big" Houses, which will become their new home for the rest of their Shawnigan journey.
