Indoor Field Hockey

Strong play against collegiate sides

Over the span of two short tournament weekends, the young Shawnigan indoor field hockey team earned respect from several experienced university teams when they placed 2nd at this year's UVic Indoor Tournament.

Last weekend, at the Vancouver Hawks tournament, the young squad showed the potential with several close scores against UBC and UVic before finding their groove at this weekend's tournament.

All girls demonstrated remarkable improvement over the course of eight games in two weeks. Annika K. in particular was able to show her great repertoire of technical skills, while Jessica A. didn't hesitate to jump into the role of fearless goalie when the team was confronted with their goalie's injury just a couple of days before the tournament.
